“Role of Parents & Educators in
Understanding, Diagnosis and Effective Strategies
for Learning Disability & Autism in Children ”

Speaker: Dr. (Mrs) Reeta Sonawat, HOD Dept. of Human Development, SNDT Women's Univ. Mumbai

The Concept :
There is a subtle difference between Learning Disability (LD) and learning difficulty. Indications of Autism are also often elusive. It is very important for parents and educators to identify the symptoms of LD and Autism in children at an early age to facilitate effective strategies for helping children with such developmental disorders at the right age and at the right time. Parents and educators have a vast role to play in ensuring that such children grow up to lead a normal life.
